I don’t like writing bad reviews. A book is a creation of someone’s imagination after all. But that doesn’t mean one ought to publish it. Could it have been better? Maybe... If you’re in your early twenties or late teens and new to romance, this might be fun to read. But unfortunately this story was beyond vanilla. Very predictable. I finished reading it for two reasons: 1- I actually paid $ for it 2- I was being polite I gave two stars because unlike most ebooks, this one was edited well for grammar and spelling!

It was super cute. It had two strong independent characters who complemented each other very well. Their relationship was realistic and not forced. The twist in the book was surprising and unexpected which was cool. Once you figure it out you’re like “Oh wow!” Overall I loved the book and would recommend it if you like romance novels.

The New Year is off to a fabulous start because I loved every single word of the Invitation by Vi Keeland as well as the super sexy cover! I have read every one of this talented author’s fabulous books and The Invitation is now my forever favorite. Hudson Rothschild and Stella Bardot were the perfect pairing and both so deserving of love and happiness. Their meet cute is epic and I LOVED that they met by chance. She’s not the nanny or his sister’s friend, and they don’t have to pretend. Their first meeting was epic! It made me laugh while giving me chills because I just knew that I was in for a wonderful ride with the pages to follow. Hudson is a single dad to a sweet, lovable little six-year old daughter, Charlie. He’s also a smart, successful venture capitalist and close to his sister, Olivia, who also works with him as VP of marketing in their family business. I loved learning about their business and also his interactions with his staff and family as it showed over and over again that he was a man of character. In addition to his business skills, Hudson also possessed a devilish smirk, quick wit, and was a living, breathing, sexy, charming, dream come true. He was dubbed “Prince Charming” by our heroine, Stella, the moment she and her best friend and neighbor, Fisher, laid eyes on him at his sister’s up-scale NY wedding that they crashed, and I couldn’t read fast enough to see what happened next. I couldn’t love Stella anymore if I tried. She was so sincere, hardworking, funny without even trying, beautiful and humble, and was just filled with so much goodness. She’d randomly give people a chocolate bar to make their day, and lived with a motto to bring joy into other people’s lives just because she could. When they meet again for the second time, I just loved her honesty and vulnerability and how much her presence and words affected Hudson. She was so unexpected, and little by little, he let down his guard and wasn’t quite sure how to process what he was feeling. I loved that Stella was super smart and a fragrance chemist, how business savvy she was, and how she fought for what she wanted and didn’t back down. She just didn’t sign contracts on a whim, she actually read them and gave a lot of thought into her future and made her dream happen along with the help of Rothschild Investments as a business partner for “Signature Scents.” They had some misunderstandings, but I loved how they handled it, how they could apologize, and got to know one another over time. I love Stella’s love of reading old diaries and how one of them affected them so deeply. Tears I tell you. Tears!! I loved the slow burn and how she was cautious to begin a romantic relationship as they worked together and she didn’t want to risk her heart being broken again. But when they finally did give in, WOWZA! There was plenty of steam with no turning back! Because they had such an emotional and deep connection, their intimate times were really magical as well as super sexy. I read four books a week and it was so refreshing to read such an original storyline with a swoony hero and quirky, sweet heroine, as well as all of the supporting characters whom I adored. The Invitation made me laugh out loud as well as cry, and is a book I will be reading again and again.

This one is by far my favorite book by Vi Keeland. Loved the characters even with their faults and broken past. Again, a sad part but a good daddy prevails that makes you fall for him even more.

I don’t like writing bad reviews. A book is a creation of someone’s imagination after all. But that doesn’t mean one ought to publish it. Could it have been better? Maybe... If you’re in your early twenties or late teens and new to romance, this might be fun to read. But unfortunately this story was beyond vanilla. Very predictable. I finished reading it for two reasons: 1- I actually paid $ for it 2- I was being polite I gave two stars because unlike most ebooks, this one was edited well for grammar and spelling!

It was super cute. It had two strong independent characters who complemented each other very well. Their relationship was realistic and not forced. The twist in the book was surprising and unexpected which was cool. Once you figure it out you’re like “Oh wow!” Overall I loved the book and would recommend it if you like romance novels.

Hard to Put Down

A famous library, several weddings held there, a diary that tells of lovers who surreptitiously meet on its steps, a lovely woman with an excellent sense of smell who crashes a wedding, and a broody single dad who is fascinated with this woman—these are some of the elements that create the wonder that is The Invitation. I loved this sooooo much! Stella and Hudson are wonderful characters, and their romance amazing!

The New Year is off to a fabulous start because I loved every single word of the Invitation by Vi Keeland as well as the super sexy cover! I have read every one of this talented author’s fabulous books and The Invitation is now my forever favorite. Hudson Rothschild and Stella Bardot were the perfect pairing and both so deserving of love and happiness. Their meet cute is epic and I LOVED that they met by chance. She’s not the nanny or his sister’s friend, and they don’t have to pretend. Their first meeting was epic! It made me laugh while giving me chills because I just knew that I was in for a wonderful ride with the pages to follow. Hudson is a single dad to a sweet, lovable little six-year old daughter, Charlie. He’s also a smart, successful venture capitalist and close to his sister, Olivia, who also works with him as VP of marketing in their family business. I loved learning about their business and also his interactions with his staff and family as it showed over and over again that he was a man of character. In addition to his business skills, Hudson also possessed a devilish smirk, quick wit, and was a living, breathing, sexy, charming, dream come true. He was dubbed “Prince Charming” by our heroine, Stella, the moment she and her best friend and neighbor, Fisher, laid eyes on him at his sister’s up-scale NY wedding that they crashed, and I couldn’t read fast enough to see what happened next. I couldn’t love Stella anymore if I tried. She was so sincere, hardworking, funny without even trying, beautiful and humble, and was just filled with so much goodness. She’d randomly give people a chocolate bar to make their day, and lived with a motto to bring joy into other people’s lives just because she could. When they meet again for the second time, I just loved her honesty and vulnerability and how much her presence and words affected Hudson. She was so unexpected, and little by little, he let down his guard and wasn’t quite sure how to process what he was feeling. I loved that Stella was super smart and a fragrance chemist, how business savvy she was, and how she fought for what she wanted and didn’t back down. She just didn’t sign contracts on a whim, she actually read them and gave a lot of thought into her future and made her dream happen along with the help of Rothschild Investments as a business partner for “Signature Scents.” They had some misunderstandings, but I loved how they handled it, how they could apologize, and got to know one another over time. I love Stella’s love of reading old diaries and how one of them affected them so deeply. Tears I tell you. Tears!! I loved the slow burn and how she was cautious to begin a romantic relationship as they worked together and she didn’t want to risk her heart being broken again. But when they finally did give in, WOWZA! There was plenty of steam with no turning back! Because they had such an emotional and deep connection, their intimate times were really magical as well as super sexy. I read four books a week and it was so refreshing to read such an original storyline with a swoony hero and quirky, sweet heroine, as well as all of the supporting characters whom I adored.
